About FMAA

With more than 1700 members, the Association is a gathering of diverse individuals with a common aim – to support and grow the Fairfield tradition. We’re a vital stakeholder of the Fairfield Methodist Schools and are managed by an elected Executive Committee of 14 members. 2 of these members are formal representatives in the 2 Schools’ Boards of Management.

The Schools’ Principals-in-office are constitutionally appointed ex-officio members of our Executive Committee, and attend all our meetings to advise on alumni involvement and support for school-based activities. Reflecting our tandem collaboration, the Association and Schools jointly produce a half-yearly publication, In Tandem, which is distributed to parents, members, and teachers.

Other activities of the Association include hosting of the Founder’s Day Dinner, an annual tradition that all our alumni remember. School leavers are introduced to the network of membership and a systematic membership fee structure at a reasonable rate is available for non-working adults.

Our Executive Committee constantly reviews membership privileges which include participation in special functions, and alumni-staff networking. With half a century of history to stand on, highly organised communication links, and the fire of passionate hearts, the Association is poised to achieve greater heights in our tradition of involvement and support for the Schools.
